Gallery label
Pavel Hlava (b.1924) trained at the Specialised School of Glassmaking in Zelezny Brod. He has designed tablewares and ornamental wares for a number of different glassworks and in the 1980s began working in free-standing glass sculpture. At the time of this small vase, a production piece, he was designing for Borské sklo, Novy Bor. Another example is held in the collections of the Museum of Applied Arts, Prague
