This roller-printed cotton furnishing fabric was manufactured by the Calico Printers’ Association in 1921. The design of box trees is similar to motifs found in pochoir print fashion plates of the period, such as those illustrating clothes by Paul Poiret. English firms bought many fabric designs for calico from French ateliers at this time.
