This roller-printed cotton furnishing fabric was manufactured by F. Steiner & Co. in 1922. It shows peacocks and blossom trees which match the Art Deco taste for exoticism. The white veining of the background imitates the cracks characteristically found in batik prints, which were popular at this time.
