NOBODY’S SHELVES
Designed by Gaetano Pesce (Italian, born 1939)
Made by Zerodisegno, Italy, 2002
Resin
Dated 2/04/02
Pesce is undoubtedly one of the most innovative designers of the last four decades. In the 1990s he experimented with free-flowing plastics to create products that were both industrially produced and unique. For his Open Sky collection individual components were cast in open-topped moulds, allowing Pesce to manipulate the liquid plastic. The same process has been used to commercially manufacture these shelves, which are part of a collection called Nobody’s Perfect.
