This wool and felt shawl that forms part of a complete woman's costume from Shipki village in Ngari, western Tibet (see Museum nos IS. 6, 8-24-1999). The shawl was held together at the front by a lozenge-shaped silver brooch (Museum no. IS. 14-1999).
