This vase was designed in 1927 and appeared in the Lalique glassworks catalogue the following year. This example was made before about 1970. After 1925 René Lalique introduced a range of colours into his commercial production. Yellows such as the amber colour of this vase were made by the inclusion of iron oxides in the glass body. Lalique often re-used decoration from one piece on other pieces. He used the figures from this vase individually in other settings.
