Physical description
Vase of earthenware and covered with a turquoise-blue glaze, and pear-shaped. Painted in black with a broad bands of birds and pear-shaped devices, alternating amid floral scrolls. Rim of brass is a later addition.

Object history
The vase has been broken and repaired with a brass rim. Owing to burial, the glaze has become iridescent in places.
