Large ceramic bowl composed of a stonepaste body decorated and painted in red, green and blue. Produced in Iran in the 17th century, probably in Kirman, it features Chinese style design combined with typically Persian elements such as the arabesque.

Physical description

Large ceramic bowl of glazed stonepaste, with flower ornaments in blue, red and green within angular spaces on outside. The central well features a blue flower spray and around the inside rim a series of further flower sprays.
