This ceramic bowl has a stonepaste body and is glazed and decorated in red, blue and brown/green. Made during the 17th century in Iran, bowls of this type were usually destined for the European market. Chinese designs dominate such wares but the presence of the arabesque is typically Persian. This bowl features flowers separated by arabesque designs.
