The Prince stands on the left with his hair curled, wearing a sash and a cravat, and holding a tricorne hat under his left arm. To the left is a hound which the Prince strokes. The Princess stands to the right, wearing a headdress, holding a flower in her left hand and pointing with the other to the Prince. To the right of the Princess is a small dog, and behind her is a large urn containing a plant. In the background is a garden, woodland, fountains and columns.
