Object history
Probably designed by Thomas Geminus (possibly born in Lys-le Lannoy, France, died in 1562)

This plate and V&A inventory number 19010 are not present in the only known copy of the suite of 29 plates by Geminus entitled 'Morysse and Damashin renewed and increased, very profitable for Goldsmythes and Embroderars', which is held at the Landemuseum der Provinze Westfalen at Münster. These plates have been identified as being by the same hand and incorporate similar ornamental patterns and motifs.
