Piece of block-printed cotton of resist-dyed design. Pattern consists of flowers and leaves in shades of brown on blue ground with original glazed cream coloured linen lining. Towards one end of the piece there are six rows of drawn lines, possibly made by ink. Traces of stitching.

The cotton has probablay been used as a bed or window curtain, and it came from a bed at Wentworth Woodhouse, the great 18th century mansion.
