Carved ornament from a throne depicting a deer with three standing carved figures on three sides. The deer is ornamented with a collar and head-band. A leaf-skirted huntress holding a bow and arrow stands between in front legs, a small dog at her heels. Her left foot is raised. On the opposite side is a hunter with a deer over his shoulders.

The Collection was the bequest of Mrs. Amelia Vertue Jodrell, who asked in her will for the credit line to read 'The Jodrell Collection".

Bequeathed by Mrs. Amelia Vertue Jodrell, 47 Cromwell Gardens, Cromwell Gardens, S.W. This acquisition information reflects that found in the Museum records (Asia Department registers and/or Central Inventory) as part of a 2023 provenance research project.
