Physical description

Whole-length portrait, standing, turned slightly to right and looking to front, right hand on hip and with left arm resting on a pedestal. The sitter is wearing the robes of the Order of the Garter, a shoulder length wig and a chain around his neck with the badge of the Order of the Garter. In the left background is the base of a column. On the ground to the right is a plumed hat, helmet, breastplate, gauntlet and baton.
