Dated by the artist in plate. View of the Thames at Millbank, at low tide. The eye is drawn to a line of mooring posts on the bank, converging in a sharply receding perspective at right with the railings running parallel and the vanishing point of the river. In the foreground at left, a barge and two men on the shore with buildings on the far bank of the river in the distance.
