Oblong, with one end shaped and the other projected to a point. On one side is a diagram, &c. and on the other side is the interpretation in Burmese characters. (still to be translated)

Formed on folded palm leaf, inscribed on both of the outer sides with a metal stylus. The folds are tightly stitched together at each end, to form a flat plaque.

A Burmese zada (horoscope) from the Royal Palace Mandalay, Konbaung Dynasty (1752-1885). Inscribed, stitched and folded palm leaf. Burmese characters. ca. 1880

Production
This zada (horoscope is claimed to have been found in the chief Queen's (Supayalat?) apartments in the Royal Palace Mandalay when taken by the British in 1885.
