A Burmese zada (horoscope) from the Royal Palace Mandalay, Konbaung Dynasty (1752-1885). Inscribed, stitched and folded palm leaf. Burmese characters. ca. 1880

Horoscope - zada, formed of two thicknesses of palm-leaf, pressed together so as to form a shaped plaque.

Production
This zada (horoscope is claimed to have been found in the chief Queen's (Supayalat?) apartments in the Royal Palace Mandalay when taken by the British in 1885.
