A harem, in a panelled room with Near Eastern decoration, with a shallow platforms to the back, the nearer carpeted, two women dressed in draped full length dresses, are dancing; on the platforms, beneath high windows, sit other women, similarly dressed, some with turbans, one playing a stringed instrument; in one corner with one of the women is seated a male turbanned figure and to the far right stands a male figure; to the lower right kneel two female figures with tambours. A turbanned male figure is looking into the room through a window at the back. Several figures are identified by numbers and the plate is numbered "T.I" and "XVIII". Line engraving from unidentified book. The lower left hand corner, with the name of the engraver, is missing.
