Metal helmet in archaic style, with cheek guards, square-cut eye holes and upper nose guard; attached to the sides is a moveable, shaped upper jaw and nose guard. Fixed to the top is a stylized sunburst in blue painted fibreglass laid over wood. Inside are fixed suede pads to fit to the head. Around the inner crown are traces of adhesive.

Physical description
Metal helmet in archaic style, with cheek guards, square-cut eye holes and upper nose guard; attached to the sides is a moveable, shaped upper jaw and nose guard. Object history
The helmet was made for an unidentified Royal Shakespeare Company production, probably in the 1960s or 1970s.

Historical significance: The helmet is a good example of unmistakable RSC style from the 1960/1970s, both in look and in the making techniques.
