Gallery label
Vicke (Victor Emanuel) Lindstrand (1904-83) arrived at Orrefors in 1928. This decoration is one of several on a related theme, including the 'pearl fisher' and the 'shark killer'. Lindstrand studied in France and Italy and often used Mediterranean subjects as inspiration for his designs. This example was made in 1934
