Likely drawn by Caius Gabriel Cibber c.1645-1700, the drawing is possibly related to a statue of Neptune by Cibber formerly located in the gardens at Chatsworth, a country house in Derbyshire originally owned by the Cavendish family. Originally built in the 1550s, it has undergone several restorations in the subsequent centuries.
