'SICKERT, Walter Richard, R. A. (1860-1942)

The following proofs E.84-88, 90, 92, 94-1950 were printed by Mr. David Strang at the request of Mrs. Sickert after her husband's death. The copperplates from which these impressions were taken (including the cancelled copperplates E.89, 91, 93-1950) were part of a group of 49 in Mrs. Sickert's possession, from 46 of which editions were printed, varying in number according to the condition of the individual copperplates. The number pencilled on each proof is that given to the copperplate by Mr Strang in the process of printing the editions. After these printings the copperplates were cancelled.
