Production | Many of these prints were executed by the artist on zinc, aluminium, scrap-metal and iron in accordance with the principles expressed by him in his book Etching methods and materials: a new and simplified technique, published by Dodd, Mead & Co., New York, 1943, a copy of which was given by Mr. and Mrs. Taylor with these impressions to the Department of Prints and Drawings. Some of the impressions are proofs taken from sketch plates executed by the artist as preliminaries to his final work. |
