The design depicts two full length male figures wearing similar costumes consisting of tight fitting brown and yellow shortsleeved tunics over a pair blue-grey tights. Both figures also wear a headdress made up of laurel leaves.

Object history
This costume design by Alix Stone is part of an extensive collection of designs purchased by the Theatre Museum directly from the artist in 1994. The design was possibly executed for a male dancer in a production of Gluck's opera "Orpheus and Eurydice", which Alix Stone designed for the Lyric Opera of Chicago in 1962.
