Object history note

This impression is probably Meder's state b before the Latin text. It is on paper with a watermark showing a balance and a cross, which is illustrated by Meder as No.271, op. cit., Appendix of Watermarks.

Descriptive line

Print depicting the Adoration of the Magi. Woodcut by Albrecht Dürer, ca.1503. An early proof of No.12 of the set of 20 illustrating the Life of the Virgin, published in book form in 1511.
