Physical description

A market scene with small children. A girl selling fruit to the left, a boy in patched clothing selling flags with the Prussian eagle to the right. In the centre, a woman with a bonnet and basket walks along with two well-dressed small children at her sides, the boy pointing towards a stall of toys with dolls, drums, ships, cannons, horses, and jumping-jacks. In the background to the right is a second-hand clothes stall with bonnets and clothes hanging outside.
