Object history | This costume design by Alix Stone is part of an extensive collection of designs purchased by the Theatre Museum directly from the artist in 1994. The design was executed for a revision of a 1964 production of Puccini's opera "Madam Butterfly" by the Sadler's Wells Opera at the London Coliseum, November 4th 1971. The original production was directed by Colin Graham; and lit by Charles Bristow. The production was later revived at the London Coliseum in September 1972. |
