Place of origin |
Four vignettes on one sheet mainly showing men's dress. The first vignette shows three men in a street in day wear and top hats, a boy and a woman in a blue riding habit and hat. The second vignette, in the grounds of a country house near a lake with folly in the background, shows two men in shooting dress, one wearing long boots, with guns and hounds, with another man and a woman in walking dress and coat. The third vignette shows two men and a boy in a room with mural painted walls and gilt decorated pilasters, patterned carpet, a stool and cushions and table covered with a red and gold cloth, silver jug and platter of fruit; a woman in a fur-trimmed coat walks out of the room, her back to us. The fourth vignette is of three men and two small boys carrying hoops standing by a river in outdoor dress with overcoats and top hats.
