Playbill for the Theatre Royal, Town Hall, Oxford, 14 August 1865, advertising the 'Succession of Novelties for Race Week!, commencing on Monday 14th with the drama Robert Macaire, or, The Road-Side Inn, with Henry Irving as Robert Macaire, followed by the highly successful classical Burlesque extravaganza by F.C. Burnand, Ixion!, with a Grand Ballet Divertisement by the Misses C. and F. Taylor, Miss Fielder and Mrs. Arnott 'incidental to the piece'. The programme to conclude with the farce On and Off, or, a Pic-Nic at Nuneham, by T.J.Williams.
