Showing a full-length, front view of Peachum wearing round steel-rimmed spectacles perched on the end of his nose; a black, tasselled beret and a floor-length robe with a blue lining, belted with a black sash with deep yellow fringe. The robe has long sleeves with wide black cuffs edged with yellow. He wears a high-collared shirt and black, buckled shoes with red heels.

Production
Attribution note: Claud Lovat Fraser was trained to paint in oils at art school but preferred to work with reed and mapping pens, and watercolour.
