Labels and date

The putti shown as miners symbolise the rich ore-producing land of Saxony. The date 1719 probably refers to the marriage in that year of Augustus the Strong, King of Poland and Elector of Saxony (d. 1733).

Production Note

Olga Drahotova suggests this was made during the lifetime of Augustus the Strong (d. 1733).
