Physical description

[Doll] moulded bisque swivel head and shoulder plate and lower arms, with a fully jointed body of kid over wood and composition; inset blue glass eyes, mohair wig. The body is very finely jointed including a waist joint.

Historical context note

[Doll] With this doll came the remains of a bright green paper covered box with a label on one end. The label bears the name MAQUETTE, the trade name of a German doll maker who patented a body in 1890. However, this doll bears no resemblance to the body described.
