Object history
This drawing was presumably intended to illustrate a weekly periodical to commemorate the Duke of Clarence's marriage.
Historical context
The Duke of Clarence was to have been married on 27 February 1892 but died on 14 January 1892. Princess Victoria married his younger brother the Duke of York (later George V) on 6 July 1893.
