Print (one of 78) from a volume containing title-plates, plates of coats of arms, and five pages of letterpress. The title-plate bears a representation of the creation of a knight. With the exception of the first plate (the arms of Louis XIII) each is an impression from 2 plates, one with the shield and the other with the border consisting of a coronet, helmet, mantling, collars of the Orders of the St. Esprit and St. Michel, or an ecclesiastical hat. There are separate border-plates for use according to the dignity of the bearer, Prince of the Blood, Cardinal, Archbishop, Duke, Marquis, Count etc.
