Production | This engraving was made in 1726, for the thesis of B. Bauyn, after the portrait by H. Rigaud, painted in 1705. It shows the repainting of the cardinal’s robes made in 1726. An impression of another engraving showing the earlier state of the painting is E.182-1960. |
