This Design for the cover of The Architectural Review, August, 1956, is based on the windows in the Chapel of Oundle School in Peterborough. The Oundle School Chapel windows were Piper's first first public stained glass commission, undertaken in 1954. The commission came through Piper's friendship with Sir John Betjeman
