Gallery label | The 'Ariel' technique was developed in the late 1930's by Edvin Öhrström with Vicke Lindstrand and the master glass-blower Gustav Bergkvist. It is based on the 'Graal' technique, but incorporates a design formed with trapped air in addition to a layer or layers of different coloured glass. This vase depicts two female busts separated by panels of lines and circles. |
