Ho, Ho, Ho!

Greetings Card
1997 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Every year the fine art handling company Momart commissions an artist to design the corporate Christmas greeting which it sends to customers and contacts in the art world.

This paperweight by Damien Hirst was issued as their 1997 Christmas greeting. The use of white dots recalls Hirst's celebrated spot paintings and prints, but by using only white dots this piece suggests falling snow, and seems designed to look like a frozen minimalist snow dome.
