Helen Chadwick, the artist who designed this silk handkerchief, was among the first women to be nominated for the Turner Prize. She was shortlisted in 1987. Her body of work, consisting mainly of three-dimensional installations and photography, is recognised for its unusual materials such as toiletries and animal parts. Chadwick references these unusual materials in the design of this multiple which features British currency and human hair.
