Carved mahogany chair, with scrolled top-rail which is decorated with rococo scrollwork. The uprights are fluted and the chair has a five-barred openwork splat, with a carved rococo connecting bar, above the baluster motif. There are cabriole front legs with knees that are carved in relief with foliage and that end in claw and ball feet. The back legs are square-toed and splayed. The chair has a plain seat frame with gadrooned edging on the lower side at the front. The loose seat is covered in contemporary tent-stitched embroidery.

Physical description
