Design for ground plan of a building in pencil, ink, and watercolour on paper. The street facing rooms of the building include two parlors at the left and one shop on the right. Bay windows extend from the two parlors and two lobbies divide the three rooms. Three sitting rooms and three sets of stairs are included behind the parlors and shop. This entire portion of rooms is painted in burnt yellow. Three kitchens, three yards, three sculleries, one ash pit, and one petty on each end are painted in blue behind the front yellow section. A five-foot wide passageway at a slight diagonal lines the back wall of the building. All walls are painted in a brick colour. Exact dimensions in feet and inches of the rooms and walls are written in black ink
