Female marionette figure representing one of the female fairy characters (possibly Titania) in the play, A Midsummer Night's Dream. It is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, waist, hips, knees and ankles. The joints are all metal. The hands are missing. There are small metal attachments for the strings on the back, upper arms and thighs, with holes in the hands for similar attachment. There are several pieces of black stringing remaining. The figure wears a sleeveless and backless white chiffon dress which is decorated with green fabric leaves and pink and white beads. There is a pair of white transluscent wings attached to the figure's back. The legs and feet are bare. The facial features are boldly carved and painted with orange lips and blue eyes. The hair is pink thread and is decorated with a band of white tassel.
