This doll, named Margaret, was made from composition in the late 1940s, in England. She is wearing a red dress, with matching bonnet and knickers, and a red coat with blue ribbon.

Physical description

The head is made of composition with a flange neck. The eyes, mouth and teeth have been painted on to ther face. The body and limbs are made from pink flannel, which has been stuffed.
She is wearing a red cotton dress with matching knickers, a matching bonnet with pink silk edging, a white broderi anglais petticoat, a machine knitterd cotton vest, and a rust red coat made from knitted wool with blue ribbon at neck and waist.
