Object history
Shirley Temple was a famous child star of the 1930s and the Ideal Toy & Novelty Co was given the rights to produce dolls based on her. As well as marking the dolls, the clothing bore a label. The dolls were made and entries in the trade catalogues from 1935 to 1939
