Physical description

'2 Robe Catherine'. Drawing of a lace evening gown with notes in French beneath it. One of a group of 85 fashion designs bound in a volume of Paquin designs for Winter 1897. Most in pen and ink with touches of watercolour, some with names, details, and fabric swatches attached.

Marks and inscriptions

Robe de bal en fronne jaune devant du corsege et de le jupe en dentelle trés fine garnie d'an grêlon feuilleté d'argent et turquoises manches en petits en{illegible] boucle stress a la ceinture.
Inscribed beneath drawing. Writing is difficult to decipher, but what can be read describes the dress as yellow, overlaid with lace interlined with metallic net and decorated with turquoise stones.
