Tailored costume, a skirt and flaring bolero with applied rows of top-stitching or braid in dovetail arrangement, the bolero flaring loosely over a cerise and white striped fitted corselette waist which picks up on the cerise braiding on the bolero collar and suggested in the top-stitching on one sleeve. One of a group of 53 fashion designs bound in a volume of Paquin designs for town wear for Summer 1897. Most in pen and ink with touches of watercolour, some with names, details, and fabric swatches attached.
