Carved mahogany covered with contemporary needlework over. Almost rectangular back framed by carved scrollwork, serpentine cresting rail. Stuffed over seat with slightly serpentine front rail, the apron on three sides carved with foliate scrolls centering on a shell motif. Fluted cabriole legs with cabochon ornaments on the knees, carved volute feet. The arms stuffed over, turning outwards and carvce with acanthus foliage. The rails with modern reinforcements. Needlework cover in cross stitch and tent stitch.
