Place of origin

The pole of turned mahogany with a spiral fluted finial. The tripod legs are of heavy reeded section composed of C scrolls and terminating in square pad feet.
The plain mahogany rectangular frame with a simple moulding contains a panel of tapestry, slightly faded (1963) depicting a basket of flowers on a grey ground. The back is covered with a panel composed of triangular pieces of a watered woollen material (possibly "moreen") which although old, appears to be a replacement. The nails are modern.
