Bought by C G Goodfellow at the Nurnberg Christmas Fair, December 1983
Historical context
The pieces are designed to be used mainly for dressing for a Nativity set as angels, the Virgin Mary or other female characters.
Note by CGG at the time concerning information given about these:
The angel's head and hands have been made by skilled ladies, poured, carved and hand painted. They are excellently suitable for the production of Tinsel Angels and costume dolls. The heads can have lightly painted hair though glued on mohair can be used if so wished.
