Physical description

Carved rosewood, square stuffed back, scrolled arms of rosewood, the edges carved with acanthus foliage in high relief enclosing panels of thuya wood veneer enriched with applied gilt brass ornaments. The front seat rail veneered with burr walnut (perhaps replacing the original Thuya wood). The front legs carved with acanthus foliage in high relief and terminating in claw feet. Curved back legs carved with foliage. The covering modern. The terminals of the back legs have been roughly cut back when the castors were fitted.
