Carved mahogany. Retangular back, the splat pierced with three openings, the central one divided bya feature composed of money pattern and acanthus leaves. The surface of the splat and the top of the uprights carved with overlapping scale pattern. The top rail carved with a Vitruvian scroll centering on a husk. The arms terminate in volutes and are carved with flowers and interlacing strapwork. The seat rails carved with Vitruvian scrolls except for the back rail which is plain. The legs carved with money pattern. The tops of the legs carved with floral medallions. Velvet covering of later date.
